Visibility for new gTLDs

These are this morning's stats for gTLD.club, just before my latest publication.

I still don't understand these stats: why are they greater in the middle of July?

A financial back-up to win .WINE ?

Could money be the solution?

What would happen if an applicant were to receive a financial back-up to go to auction and win it. In exchange of this financial back-up, it would protect wine Geographical Indications according to a solution provided by parties affected by this issue?

What if Project dotVinum were to enter the game with a € 5 million financial back-up, to help the best applicant win the auction (in a private auction or an ICANN sponsored auction):
  1. Would 5 million be enough?
  2. Would Axelle Lemaire help France?
  3. ...

Where Do You Register New Domain Names?

Most users who already use websites have heard about domain names and they know what they are. Although .COM domains are already very popular, they are no longer as appealing as they once were, because they don't mean anything as such and all of the cool, short names have long since been registered. In 2014, this will change with the emerging new domain names. I like to think that it is possible that, with the increased communications that exists around new gTLD and the fact that many of these new domain names actually mean something, people will start paying more attention. For example, I like the idea of a www.discovery.science , but I doubt I will ever click on a discoveryscience.com.

Promote your Top-Level Domain

Promote your Top-Level Domain with the "New gTLD expansion program"

Since June the 13th, all new gTLD applications have been made public and for those who will not be in competition, it is important to start raising interest.

As a person who has been involved in the first and second level domain business, for many years now with a Registrant, a Registrar and a Registry experience, I have decided to innovate and offer new gTLD applicants what they are going to need in the coming months: raise awareness for their domain names.

Simple, cheap and efficient, the objective with this service is to have registrants to be kept informed so that they are ready to buy, when registries launch.
