New gTLD: a few things I noticed in October 2023

A fast note about what I noticed in the new gTLD world recently:

• Amendment to .ONE new gTLD.
• Renewal notice for .BERLIN new gTLD.
• Revocation Report for .CITYEATS
• Revocation Report for .FRONTDOOR
• .BOT new gTLD, Trademark Claims Period: 30 October 2023 to 30 January 2024.
• The .DESI new gTLD was transferred to a proposed Emergency Back-End Registry Operator Program - ICANN.
• The .FLICKR new gTLD was granted the status of ".BRAND". If the date does not exactly match, it is because the info was updated laitely.
• The .CEO new gTLD was acquired by a third party.
• The GAP Trademark; just dropped 2 dotBrand new gTLDs:
• the .BANAREPUBLIC Top-Level Domain and,
• the .OLDNAVY Top-Level Domain.
• The .SCA new gTLD was terminated.

New gTLDs : fast News

I noticed a few news recently:

• The .CSC dotBrand new gTLD was terminated.
• Two Trademark Claims Period were changed on two Amazon IDN new gTLDs.
• The .BOT new gTLD changes date for its Trademark Claims Period.
•   The .大众汽车 new gTLD was revoked.
• Verisign on .WEB: "VeriSign believes Afilias' application is without merit".
• A Public Accelerator-Incubator announced that it acquired a TLD.
• Google does not factor in TLDs directly when ranking websites. So, your coffee shop will not be penalized for choosing “.coffee”.
• New gTLD updates "for the French": Jovenet.fr

2. The content of your email is the Content of your news:
1. Write one line of text, no more;
2. Add a "Learn more" or a "Read the full story" with a hyperlink to your article.
3. Done.

There are several way to follow-up with new gTLDs. One of them is to check all known websites informing about the subject. Another one is to subscribe to a "feed" which delivers the news to you. These are the some tools you can use:

New gTLDs "Today": a new communication channel

I recently noticed that 150 members are following the new gTLD info on the Google+ community that I created a few years ago. Basically, I post the exact same info as on the LinkedIn new gTLD group.

A different channel
I am reopening this communication channel because it is simple, efficient and some still use it. It is also quite fast for me to post an info there: it requires a link and a title (I often add a picture).

You should click here to be invited and note that it requires to join to be able to post. As usual, I try my best to moderate publications and do reject everything that has nothing to do with the subject of new gTLDs. And again: selling domain names there is not accepted, there are many other places to do that.

Which information channel?
Many exist but I created five of them:

1. A newsletter where I send 100% of the news found on Internet and related to new gTLDs (new gTLD domaining excluded);
2. A Blog: the gTLD Club (my blog);
3. My Twitter account;
4. The LinkedIn group about new gTLDs (2,700 subscribers);
5. The Google+ Community (100% of the news published in the Newsletter).
