We have a new CEO. I mean by this that the ICANN has a new CEO and he is replacing Fadi Chehadé who is leaving in March 2016. What is the relation with new generic Top-Level Domains? Well, the ICANN CEO is a member of the New gTLD Program Committee, the group to have the final word when it comes to saying "yes" or "no" to a new domain name extension. Remember ".sucks"?
