Brands are applying for generic keywords
According to Ken Hansen, Senior Director at Neustar (a back-end registry provider), "some brands are applying for generic keywords that are related to the business that they are in".

I am a new gTLD Consultant based in Paris. "New gTLD" stands for "new generic Top-Level Domains" from the ICANN new gTLD program. They are new domain name extensions such as ".consulting" (instead of ".com").
There will be no .ADELAIDE domain names
According to South Australian Information Economy Minister Tom Kenyon, it cost too much to apply for the Australian city Top-Level Domain.
According to figures, let's say, "if a city Top-Level Domain sells", it can be FREE.
