The new gTLD info for Tuesday, April 26th

I read the Nameshield article on the .MMA new gTLD and sent an email to learn more about the project. Today, I spoke to Mr Daeschner who explained that these domain names will be used mainly by the MMA network of local agencies. This is a long time project and if actual domain names are going to be used as redirections first, it is not impossible that this changes at some point. The interesting info is that MMA has the administrative and technical capacity to tell its agencies to migrate to their ".mma" new domain name. This is an important information because in many cases, such decisions are taken by agencies themselves, not by the headquarters. MMA will wait to see the impact on SEO and wants to take the time to do things. By the way, did you know that the .MMA new gTLD project is a community application?
