It seems that more and more Registrants have Faith: as seen in the new gTLD report - updated today - related to religions almost 3,000 more domain names were just registered recently. Some French .BRANDs must be doing tests with their domain names: some zone files are losing registrations.

  1. .XYZ : 2 336 651
  2. .TOP : 1 130 198
  3. .CLUB (par exemple: www.gtld.club) : 709 794
  4. .WANG : 633 489
  5. .WIN : 618 035
  6. . 346 286 (“adresse Internet” en Chinois)
  7. .SCIENCE : 341 795
  8. .LINK : 267 681
  9. .REN : 238 491 (veut dire “être humain” en Chinois)
  10. .PARTY : 225 530

Conference
Impact of the new gTLDs
The fifth Domain Forum will be organized on December 4th, 2015 in Sofia, Bulgaria. This year Domain Forum will become a regional event with focus on the domain industry in the SEE region.

Adjustment of new gTLD RPMs
The principal question raised by the Report was whether the review and possible adjustment of new gTLD RPMs and the review and potential reform of the UDRP should be combined or separated. On that key decision, our comment letter said that the RPMs should be addressed prior to the UDRP review for these reasons:

Will Uniform Rapid Suspension Be a Substitute for Defensive Domain Name Registrations?

Many law firms and Intellectual Property departments in charge of managing brands and domain names for their customers or businesses must have had that same question: "how do I protect a brand online under the ICANN new gTLD program?" The first potential answer that is usually offered up to an enquirer is: "the Trademark Clearinghouse does that".

The Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) is not protection mechanism; rather it is a privileged access to registering domain names prior to registry launch.
